Which Accessories Should You Choose for the DJI Osmo 360 II? Batteries, Selfie Sticks, Mounts, and Protection, Researched from Reviews

DJI’s 360-degree camera, the Osmo 360 II, went on sale on September 2, 2026. After buying the body, the next questions are accessories: a spare battery, a selfie stick, a mount, lens protection. But when you search Amazon for “Osmo 360," products for the original model, products for the II, and products shared with other cameras are all mixed together, and it is hard to tell which ones work with the II. Review ratings are sometimes mixed in from other camera models as well. Which accessories should you choose for the Osmo 360 II?

In this article, I looked into the accessories sold for the Osmo 360 II by category, and organized how they feel to use, what was good, and what to watch out for, based on reviews of representative products. This blog has used neither the camera nor the accessories, so this is a summary of publicly available information. I also consider which accessories look useful when using this camera with Spirula Studio (software that builds 3D scenes from video and photos).

This reflects the state of things as of October 14, 2026.

What I looked into: scope and method

I looked into three things: what kinds of accessories work with the Osmo 360 II, what the reviews of representative products say, and whether the ratings shown on product pages can be trusted as they are.

  • Products covered: from DJI’s official store accessory information and Amazon.co.jp search results, I picked representative products for each category. My criteria were that the product name or variation name mentions Osmo 360, that the number of ratings is large, and that reviews for other camera models are not mixed in.
  • How I read the reviews: on each product page, I read up to 5 high-rated reviews and up to 5 low-rated (critical) reviews, and summarized their characteristics. Amazon’s sort by “helpful votes" was not available, so I read from the top of the displayed order. For products with fewer than 5 reviews, I report however many I could get.
  • Ratings and prices: these are the values shown on the product pages on October 13 and 14, 2026. They may change.
  • Writing: I do not reproduce review text; I summarize its characteristics.

I confirmed the official information on the Osmo 360 II page of the DJI store. Rakuten Ichiba had few products that could be read with ratings, so I could not use it for this review research.

The basics to know first about the Osmo 360 II

The Osmo 360 II page on the DJI store says the following.

  • The lenses are replaceable. You can swap the front and rear lenses using a replacement lens kit.
  • The body has a two-way quick-release and a 1/4-inch screw hole. It can be attached to Osmo series accessories and ordinary tripods.
  • For spare batteries, DJI’s official FAQ states that the Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus (1950mAh) and the Extreme Battery (1770mAh) can be used. The battery included with the body is 2150mAh.
  • Sold separately, a 2.5m carbon-fiber selfie stick and an Invisible Waterproof Case rated to a depth of 50m are listed. The body alone is waterproof to a depth of 10m.

Given this, when choosing accessories you need to check one by one whether a product labeled “for Osmo 360" is for the original model or also works with the II. DJI’s official compatibility information is limited to the batteries and two separately sold items, and for most third-party products the product name is the only clue.

Can the ratings on product pages be trusted as they are?

The first thing I found is that the more ratings a product has, the more likely it is that reviews for other camera models are mixed in.

  • The Newzerol lens protector and film set is rated 3.8 from 1,124 ratings. However, of the 13 reviews shown on the product page, only 1 was for the Osmo 360, and the rest were for things like films for foldable smartphones. The displayed 1,124 is not a count for Osmo products.
  • The PULUZ lens cover for the Osmo 360 is rated 3.5 from 641 ratings, but the variation names on the product page are for the Insta360 X3, One X2, and GoPro MAX2, and I could not confirm any Osmo 360 reviews.
  • Both are cases where multiple camera models’ variations sit under one product page (a parent ASIN), and the rating and count are shared. Before buying, it is reassuring to check whether the reviews narrow down when you select a variation name.

In this article, I do not list ratings for the two products where mixing was confirmed. Products explicitly labeled Osmo 360 II have only been on sale for about 6 weeks, so I should also say up front that they have few reviews.

Batteries and charging: what is officially confirmed to work is the Action batteries

The battery matters more the longer you use the camera. For 8K, 30 frames per second shooting, the body’s battery (2150mAh) is rated at up to 100 minutes (per the DJI store; up to 120 minutes with Endurance Mode on).

ProductRatingMention of Osmo 360 II
DJI Osmo Extreme Battery Plus (2150mAh)★3.5, 2 ratingsSame type as the one included with the II. Only 2 reviews
DJI Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus (1950mAh)★4.7, 1,001 ratingsProduct name mentions Osmo 360. Use with the II is stated in DJI’s FAQ
llano battery and charger set (1950mAh x 3, charges 3 at once)★4.3, 184 ratingsProduct name mentions Osmo 360. No mention of the II

DJI Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus (1950mAh)

I could get 7 high-rated reviews and 5 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 14, 2026).

  • High-rated side: most are short comments to the effect of “the genuine one is reassuring." One comparison said that knock-off batteries are fine at first but drain faster over time, while the genuine one lasts well. Some said it worked for adding capacity as a spare (used with an Action 4).
  • Low-rated side: one Japanese review is a packaging complaint: a small battery arrived in a large box with no cushioning and the box was battered (the product itself was fine). The others were in foreign languages and were individual cases: a swollen used battery arrived, it would not charge, it stopped charging at 94% instead of 100%, and it discharged as fast as the genuine one.
  • Points to note: the high-rated side is mostly about use with the Osmo Action 4, and there were no impressions from use with the 360. I could not confirm whether the foreign-language low-rated cases come from differences in the seller. When buying, it is a good idea to also check whether the seller is Amazon itself or a third party.

llano battery and charger set (1950mAh x 3)

There are 5 high-rated reviews and 5 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 13, 2026).

  • High-rated side: people like that it comes with 3 batteries and a charger and is inexpensive.
  • Low-rated side: reviews say it lasts shorter than the genuine one, gets hot, shows an inaccurate remaining charge, and that there were initial defects.
  • Points to note: even at the same 1950mAh, the actual runtime may differ from the genuine one. This blog has not measured it.

The 2150mAh battery has only 2 reviews, so I cannot describe a trend. The one high-rated review says that the capacity increased and it confirmed it also works on the Action 6. The one low-rated review says that when shooting under the same conditions as the 1770mAh battery, both ran out at the same time, so it did not feel like the capacity had increased. The two claims disagree, and I could not confirm the actual runtime.

Selfie sticks and tripods

With a 360-degree camera, a selfie stick is also a tool to keep the photographer from showing up. The area directly below the stick is close to the seam where the images from the two lenses are joined, so manufacturers explain that the stick almost disappears from the footage.

DJI Osmo 1.6m Selfie Stick with Tripod★4.8, 203 ratingsNo camera model in the product name. Reviews mix use with the Osmo 360, Pocket 3, and others
VKESEN selfie stick / tripod, 136cm★4.4, 480 ratingsProduct name mentions Osmo 360. No mention of the II

DJI Osmo 1.6m Selfie Stick with Tripod

There are 9 high-rated reviews and 3 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 14, 2026). There are only 3 low-rated reviews, and I did not pad the count. Of the 9 high-rated reviews, 7 are in Japanese and the rest are in foreign languages.

  • High-rated side: people say it is stable and supports better than a cheap tripod. Several people say it feels good that the tripod legs open smoothly when you lightly drop it toward the ground. Some say anyone can use it easily.
  • Cautions on the high-rated side: some comments say it is a bit stiff, a bit unstable because it is light, or somewhat expensive. The reviews include people who use it with a Pocket 3 or a 4P.
  • Low-rated side: a Japanese review says it is bigger than expected and inconvenient. The two foreign-language reviews are from people who bought an Osmo 360: one complained that the mounting adapter is not included, and the other pointed out that, being screw-type, it suits full-surround shooting, but to set an angle for single-lens shooting (using only one lens) you need a separately sold adjustable adapter.
  • Points to note: if you use it with the Osmo 360, check before purchase whether you need a separately sold adapter.

VKESEN selfie stick / tripod (136cm)

There are 5 high-rated reviews and 5 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 13, 2026). Of the 13 reviews, 7 were in Japanese.

  • High-rated side: people like that the pole is thick, stable, and usable as a tripod. However, notes that the telescoping part is stiff and that it does not lock, so it may loosen in the future, also appear near the top of the Japanese reviews.
  • Low-rated side: reports include a tilted screw section and the pole coming off when extended. There are also comments that it is not a so-called “invisible selfie stick" and that, because of its thickness, the stick shows up in the footage, plus comments that the manual was in English and that it is weak in wind.
  • Points to note: the product name mentions Osmo 360 but not the II, and I could not find any review saying it was used with the II.

Mounts (helmet chin)

DJI Osmo Helmet Chin Mount Clip

It is rated ★4.0 from 628 ratings. There are 5 high-rated reviews and 6 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 14, 2026). The product name lists Osmo 360, Action 6, Action 5 Pro, and others, but does not mention the Osmo 360 II.

  • High-rated side: several people say the clip is stiff and grips strongly, and does not fall off even when attached to the chin of a motorcycle helmet. Attaching and removing is easy: just clamp it and press the tab. Because it uses no double-sided tape, it can be attached without damaging the helmet. One review says the position did not shift after riding and no bothersome vibration appeared in the footage (used with an Action 4).
  • Low-rated side: there are comments that it sticks out a lot below the helmet and hits the chest when you lower your head. One English review also said the body of a 360-degree camera hits the chest when mounted. Some point out that on a forward-leaning motorcycle, only the instrument panel area is captured. There are reports that it came off from a strong impact such as a curb, and comments that the product page photo shows a magnetic mount but it was not included in what arrived.
  • Points to note: it seems poorly suited to uses with strong impacts. Do not judge what is included based on the product page photos alone.

Lens protection: the II has replaceable lenses, so check covers made for the original

The Osmo 360 II has replaceable lenses. It is built on the assumption that you swap out damaged lenses, and DJI sells replacement lens kits separately. So whether you need an adhesive protective cover on the II depends on how you use it.

DJI Osmo Clear Lens Protector (for Osmo 360)

It is rated ★3.8 from 279 ratings. There are 5 high-rated reviews and 6 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 14, 2026). The product name says Osmo 360 and does not mention the II. Because the II has replaceable lenses, it is likely that this product cannot be used on the II. Please check on the product page before buying.

  • High-rated side: some say it clicks into place when attached and does not come off easily, and that they noticed no loss in image quality. The reassurance of the genuine fit and the ease of attaching and removing are also praised.
  • Low-rated side: there are comments that it gets scratched just by setting it on a desk while attached, that the inner coating is weak and cannot be wiped with a cloth, and that scratches show up as shadows in the footage. Some stopped using it because it adheres weakly and they worry about losing it in a fall on a snowy mountain. There is also an English review saying stitching (the seams in the footage) problems appeared, and comments that it fogs easily with moisture.
  • Points to note: because it adds thickness, reports on its effect on image quality and stitching are split.

As for the others, I do not list ratings for the Newzerol and PULUZ products because of the mixing described above. Products that mention the II include a JJC silicone cover (5 ratings), but the count is too small to describe a trend.

Remote controls: the GPS version is expensive and drains its battery fast

DJI Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller

It is rated ★4.2 from 687 ratings. There are 5 high-rated reviews and 6 low-rated ones (Amazon, October 14, 2026). The product name mentions Osmo 360 but not the II, and compatibility is not confirmed.

  • High-rated side: it is light, easy to connect to the camera, and has an easy-to-read display. The reviews cite that GPS information such as speed can be put into the video, and the reassurance of the genuine product.
  • Low-rated side: the built-in battery drains quickly. There are descriptions ranging from half a day to about 3 hours, and the battery is not replaceable. One report says it stopped powering on one month after purchase. Comments also say that exporting GPS video in the official app takes a long time (about 4.5 hours for 20 minutes of 2.7K video, reported with an iPhone), that the track and position drift, and that GPS drops out in tunnels. Some also point out that the displayed text is small.
  • Points to note: it is for people who want GPS on their footage. If you only want to start and stop recording, you need to consider whether it is worth the price. The Osmo 360 II also has features for control by gesture or voice.

Other unusual options

I also found some unusual options for the Osmo 360. For many of them I could not get ratings, so I limit myself to introducing them as “apparently existing."

DJI use-case combos (diving, motorcycle POV, neck mount, and others)Bundled sets by useListed on the DJI store (Osmo 360 II)

Within the scope I looked at, I could not confirm pet harnesses, drone mounts, solar or wireless power supply, or HDMI cables. That does not mean they do not exist.

If you use it with Spirula Studio, which ones would be useful?

From here on, this is an outlook based on my research and has not been verified on a real unit. Spirula Studio is software that builds 3D scenes from photos and video, and it can also use 360-degree video as source material. The advantage of a 360-degree camera that captures the full surround at once is that fewer areas are missed.

  • Selfie stick: if the photographer appears in the footage, it may lower 3D accuracy as a moving person. Rather than walking while holding the stick, a stick with a tripod placed at a fixed point, with the photographer moving away, is one possible way to use it. Whether the tripod legs show up at the bottom needs to be measured.
  • Battery: for full-surround shooting, if the battery runs out partway you have to reshoot. Carrying a 1950mAh battery, which is officially confirmed to work, as a spare is realistic. Even among identical batteries, the runtime has to be measured on a real unit.
  • Lens protection: scratches and fingerprints can cause floating noise in the 3D. Since the II has replaceable lenses, the approach is to swap them when they are damaged, but whether a protective cover distorts the seams needs to be measured.
  • Remote controls and mounts: they are thought to have little use in 3D shooting. The GPS and helmet items are for uses centered on shooting while moving.

Discussion: what to choose to avoid confusion

From the published information and reviews, three points can be made.

  • The compatibility confirmed for the Osmo 360 II is only the batteries and the separately sold items DJI officially lists, and for most third-party products the product name is the only clue.
  • Even for products with many ratings, reviews for other models can be mixed in, and they may not be readable as Osmo 360 reviews.
  • For genuine products, the evaluation centers on “reassurance," and the concrete complaints (packaging, easy scratching, battery drain) appear on the low-rated side.

These are an organization of how to read the reviews. I have not ranked which product is better.

What I could not check: limits and unconfirmed items

  • I could not find any review stating that it was used with the Osmo 360 II. Most are impressions from the original Osmo 360 or other camera models.
  • The reviews are from the top of the displayed order, one page per product. Sorting by “helpful votes" was not available, so I split high and low by star rating. I have not been able to judge fake reviews (unnaturally favorable reviews).
  • I could not obtain Rakuten Ichiba reviews, microphones, dedicated power cables, or protective cases.
  • I have not measured actual battery runtime, the effect of lens protection on the seams, or how much the selfie stick shows up in the footage.

Summary: when in doubt, start with what the official source confirms

Many Osmo 360 II accessories mention only the Osmo 360, so you need to check product by product whether they work with the II. What is officially confirmed as compatible is the Action batteries (1950mAh, 1770mAh), and the separately sold 2.5m selfie stick and Invisible Waterproof Case.

As next steps, before buying, check that the product name says “Osmo 360 II" and check the variation name. Even if a product has many ratings, look at the camera names in the review text to see whether reviews for other models are mixed in. If you will use it for 3D shooting, it makes sense to start with a spare battery that is officially confirmed to work, and a stick with a tripod.
